Because ZYMOX hot spot spray for dogs and cats only contains safe, gentle and non-toxic ingredients, it’s safe if your inquisitive pet licks the application site.

LP3 Enzyme System

Recurrent skin infections, hot spots and irritation can lead to a distressed pet and repeat visits to your veterinarian.

They can also mean repeat courses of medication, which can lead to problems with resistant bugs that don’t respond to conventional treatment.

The ZYMOX patented LP3 Enzyme System is effective on a broad spectrum of germs, fungi and yeasts that cause skin problems.

Enzymes are naturally-occurring proteins, and the LP3 Enzyme System from ZYMOX helps destroy microorganisms without attacking healthy cells or irritating the skin. Enzymes don’t develop a resistance to microbes and will continue to work for your pet when they need them.

There’s no need to pre-clean sore areas first. Simply spray without cleaning. The enzymes react with organic matter within the skin helping to manage infections and hot spots.

With 0.5% Hydrocortisone

Patented Antimicrobial LP3 Enzyme System

Simple to Use with No Painful Pre-Cleaning

ZYMOX Topical Spray includes 0.5% Hydrocortisone for relief from itching and inflammation.

ZYMOX Topical Spray is an all-in-one solution for infections caused by germs, fungi and yeast.

The LP3 Enzyme System reacts with biological materials in the skin to form its powerful properties.

Simple, effective relief.

Apply once or twice a day by spraying the entire affected area.

There’s no need to cause fear or upset in your pet, as there’s no painful pre-cleaning necessary.

Pre-cleaning and cleaning during use disrupts the biological system and will negatively affect results.

Works on Hot Spots
Anatolian Shepherd (5 years old/110 lbs) had her first case of Hot Spots. For a couple of weeks, she was constantly scratching herself raw, biting, licking, and rolling her body on the grass to relieve her symptoms. Afterwards, Vet Doc prescribed an antibiotic. Every few days we bathed her with Zymox Shampoo & Leave-On Conditioner (purchased from Petco on-line which is also on Amazon) per bottles instructions. This we believe helps keep her skin clean and moisturize. She didn’t scratch as much after the bath. We did not have to shave her fur because we used clean disposable gloves, parted her fur by meticulously feeling around her body and used the Zymox Topical Spray Hydrocortisone 0.5% on EACH of the Hot Spots we found. She found immediate relief after the spray. The spray is useless if you don’t spray the skin directly cause the fur will just repel it. She cooperated cause she understood we were trying to help her and willingly accepted treatment. The combo therapy of the Vet prescribed antibiotic (Cephalexin), Zymox Shampoo and Leave-In Conditioner, Zymox 0.5% Hydrocortisone Spray, and monitoring was well worth it. She started to heal within a couple of days getting better within a week and a half. We continued treatment. And after two weeks the open sore Hot Spots completely healed leaving some crust dry spots that eventually flaked off. We stopped washing her as much as we did and continued with the Spray on the Hot Spots that were starting to crust and scab over. Her belly slowly started returning back to her normal pinkish color. She has minor dark scaring from the healed hot spots but slowly going away. Attached are four pictures. The first picture is before we started treatment (blue bone printed blanket picture), the second was after 3 days(on carpet with a napkin to wipe off excess spray) , the third picture ( she on tile) was after a week, the last picture is the products we used ( Zymox shampoo/leave on conditioner/spray) minus the antibiotic from the Vet. I’m satisfied with this purchase. Well packaged, not expired and shipped on time. If this happens again will purchase from this seller.
